FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
RE: MEDIA INQUIRIES ON 2309 FIRST STREET
To Whom It May Concern:
We are truly excited that the public is taking an interest in the revitalization of our uptown campus. As with all great things, the complete restoration and renovation of Greater St. Stephen Uptown comes only through the collaborative efforts and resources of both thinkers and doers.
As alluded to in our previous statement, we are collaborating with some of the brightest minds in historic preservation, jazz music, architecture and museum curation. It is our goal to make Greater St. Stephen Uptown, which includes the Bolden House, a nucleus for healing, artistic expression and community development – while honoring the legacy and cultural contributions of Greater St. Stephen and jazz pioneer, Charles “Buddy” Bolden.
The renovation of our uptown campus is projected to be a multimillion-dollar project. And like most projects of this magnitude, restoration will be executed in multiple phases – once our capital campaign is complete. In the mean time, we ask that the public continue to be patient with us, as we all have a similar objective in mind.
Greater St. Stephen FGBC is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization and contributions made toward Greater St. Stephen Uptown, which includes the Bolden House, are tax deductible.
Again, we are elated that the public has such a keen interest in Greater St. Stephen Uptown. And we welcome your thoughts, time and resources because we’re all GREATER together!
