We offer biblical teachings throughout the week. The great thing is you don’t have to be a member of GSS to take our courses.

Our mission is to edify, empower, and equip the body of Christ by modeling and teaching the precepts of Christian Education through diligent instruction and development.


School of Ministry courses are held on Thursday nights at Greater St. Stephen FGBC, Morton Hall, 5600 Read Blvd., New Orleans, LA. Our 9-week sessions are ministry based courses.  ALL Sessions and courses are open to members and non-members of GSS FGBC.


All books need to be purchased at the time of registration and is separate from registration fee.  Once books are purchased, book store will place order for prepaid books.

COURSE:  Old Testament Survey II
BOOK :  Old Testament Survey II Garnet Reid
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course will allow the students to recognize the underlying theme of the Old Testament. It will give the student an understanding of the history and literature of the Old Testament. In addition, it will show the time line of the Old Testament and give an overview of the Historical, Poetical and Prophetical books of the Old Testament.

Note: Old Testament Survey 1 and 2 must be completed with a passing grade, to get a certificate of completion. 

COURSE: Front Line Intercessors 3: “In His Secret Place”

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course is to help the intercessors understand the seriousness of walking in the Spirit and spending time in the presence of God that they should be humble vessels not looking for the glory of man but the results of a fervent prayer life that bring forth changes, healing, deliverance and victory in the life of God’s people and their circumstances.


COURSE: Spiritual Warfare II
BOOK: Strongman’s His Name II Drs. Jerry & Carol Robeson
COURSE DESCRIPTION:  This course will teach God’s people a simple and effective way to pinpoint their own spiritual needs, deal with them according to God’s Word and find freedom in their lives without having to rely on other people to do for them what they should be doing for themselves to receive their deliverance.



Students are expected to attend all classes, but will be allowed to miss only two (2) per nine (9) week term and one (1) class per four week term.  In the event three (3) classes are missed for the (9) week term the student will receive a Fail as a grade and must retake course.  In the event two (2) classes are missed for the (4) week term the student will receive a Fail as grade and must retake class.  Book fee separate from registration fee.  Once course is completed each student will receive a Certificate of Completion.  All payments are nonrefundable and non-transferable.

Koinonia Discipleship Classes bridge the gap between the taught WORD and School Of Ministry courses. These courses are designed to teach students how to be disciples of Christ. Greater St. Stephen Koinonia

“Another level of spiritual enlightenment!”

Level 1

Basic Discipleship Training. In-depth study of salvation and how being a Christian relates to an individual becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ. Register for this level if you are a first time student of Greater Koinonia.

Level II

The second level of Discipleship is when the individual begins to progressively transform into the character and likeness of Jesus. The disciple is in transition as they are becoming spiritually transformed through understanding the importance of walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. Knowing the importance of following Christ as they build a closer relationship with the Father. Register for level two if the student has completed Level I.

Level III

The third level of Discipleship we find the disciple coming into the arena of becoming a disciple. This student’s life, begins to illustrate the examples and teachings of Jesus Christ. These illustrations then begins to impact the lives of others creating transformation of believers exemplifying what should happen in the life of every believer. This is a lifelong process. Register for level three if the student has completed Level I & II
